LuWayne Barrington

LuWayne Barrington, 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away on November 12, 2014 from a heart attack in the Davis Hospital, Layton, Utah.   He was born November 30, 1926 in Riverdale, ID in the family home.  He married Bonnie Fellows on August 3, 1949 in the Logan, UT Temple and enjoyed over 65 years together. 

A long time employee of Utah Power and Light Company, he retired as Meter Superintendent in the Preston Division. An army veteran, he also served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the first  in the Southern States Mission, then with his wife in the San Diego Mission and the St. George Utah Visitor Centers Mission.   He loved Family History research and motivated his family in this work. Even though he will be missed, we find comfort in the knowledge that he has graduated from this life

LuWayne is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his four children, Kenneth (Lynette) American Fork, UT; Evan (Kathy) Louisville, KY;  Rex (Dixie) Pleasant Grove, UT; Sheila (Randon Wright) Kaysville, UT;  24 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren, with two on the way.  He is also survived by a brother, Ross, of Hurricane, UT. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kaysville Rock Chapel at 200 East Center Street, Kaysville, UT.  A viewing will be held Monday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the church.
