PRESTON, IDAHO - - LOREN BREWSTER
PRESTON- Loren Eugene Brewster, 82, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at his home in Preston. He was born July 19, 1930, in San Bernardino, California, the son of Gordon William and Lida Belle Stuart Brewster. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. On May 12, 1962, he married Jo Anne Whitney in Covina, California. They enjoyed fifty years together!
He worked as a nurseryman, dairyman, grounds and maintenance and as a stationary engineer. He served in many churches. He was the Director of the Vacation Bible School where he taught the 18-25 young marrieds bible class. He was also Director of the Jr. Hi Dept. teaching Jr. Hi boys, senior adults and doctrine bible class. He had the calling of a pastor and was chairman of the board of the Evangelical Free Church in Yucca Valley, California. He was Deacon and Elder.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Brewster of Preston; children, Rae Jean Powell of Reno, Nevada; Evelyn (Orland) M. Storts of Preston; Kathy A. Bohlender of Preston; Loren E. Brewster Jr. of Oakdale, California; and Franchisco Rossi of Los Angeles, California; seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; two nephews, Leonard (Sharon) Brewster of Arizona; Richard Close of Cherry Valley, California; and by a niece, Janet (Ed) Beneda of Orange, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister, Lois E. Close and by two brothers, Howard and Leonard Brewster.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church, 16 N. State, Preston, Idaho, with Pastor Bill Bagley officiating.
