DAYTON, IDAHO
Linda Young Williams was born on April 15, 1951, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Max Little Young and Edna Ruth Whiting. Linda was the fourth of eight children; Max, Reva, Rocky, Linda, Tamara, Ramona, Tracy and Kerrie Jo. She grew up in Pingree, Idaho and graduated from Snake River High School where she met her husband, Clyde E. Williams. They were married on Nov. 1, 1969, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were blessed with six children: Amy (Layne Waldron); ChaNel; Dionne (Nathan Winward); Angela; Justin (Janice West); Shaun (Michelle Peterson); and ten grandchildren, Camden, Tiara, Destinny (Waldron), Jaz, Asia (Smith), Dillan, Colten, Hailey (Winward), Masen-Cruiz, and Gabriel-Jude (Williams).
Linda was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions including Primary President, Young Women's President, Relief Society President, Stake Primary Counselor and Stake Young Women's President. She showed great compassion to family, church and community. She was reunited with her family in heaven on January 19, 2010. Linda showed us great faith and strength through her experience with cancer and will be greatly missed by all.
Viewings will be held at Webb Funeral Home's new facility at 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho, on Friday, Jan. 22nd from 6-8 p.m. and at the Dayton Idaho LDS Church on Saturday, Jan. 23rd from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Services to honor Linda's life will be held at the Dayton LDS Church, under the direction of Bishop Troy Moser, on Saturday, Jan. 23rd beginning at 12 Noon.
