Lera Buttars

Lera Buttars, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on July 21, 2016 in Preston, Idaho.   The ravages of cancer eventually weakened her mortal body, but her radiant spirit shone brightly as  she left this earth.  She was born August 15, 1928 in Freedom, Wyoming to John Raymond and Lula  Irene (Haderlie) Jenkins.  She married Stewart Buttars on March 28, 1952 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Lera is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stewart Melvin Buttars and her 6 children: Lana (Steve)  Archibald, Valerie (Roger) Donohoe, Jan (Tom)  Hatch, Beverly (Kim) Yates, Nancy (Bryce) Hawkins,  and Rhet (Sandy) Buttars; a sister, Maxine Sanderson; as well as many grandchildren and  great‐grandchildren.   

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston 10^th Ward Chapel, 155 N. 200 W, Preston, Idaho.  Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.  A private family graveside will follow in the Clarkson Cemetery.

It is hard to imagine life without this loving and cherished wife, mother and grandmother.  Though  our hearts are broken, our spirits remain strong  because we know that we will one day again be  reunited.
