Lawrence "Larry" Hodges

Lawrence “Larry” Hodges. 75, passed peacefully Friday, May 18, 2018. Larry was born May 3, 1943, in Preston, Idaho to Maude and Elmer LaMont “Dick” Hodges. He graduated from Preston High School and pursued careers in mining for Monsanto and as a mechanic for both Del Monte Cannery and Silgan Container. He enjoyed volunteering as an EMT and search and rescue for Franklin County. In 1969 he married Carlene Hodges and became a proud father to a daughter, Teresa, and son, Randon.

In his spare time, Larry loved four-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, tinkering in his shop, and watching motocross with his family. Later in life, Larry met met Dawn, who he spent the rest of his life with. Larry was a loving husband, great father, grandpa, great-grandpa and brother and a compassionate friend who was always offering his helping hand.

He is survived by his wife Dawn; Daughters, Teresa and her husband Bob, Monica, Jodi; son, Randon; Grandchildren, Ashley and her boyfriend Kyle, Kenzie and her husband Wesley, Shania, Raidon, Shailey, Briggs; Great-grandchildren, Zander and Zaidon and a Brother, Thayne Cedar Hodges and his wife Karen.

In lieu of flowers, Larry wished that donations be made towards the organization of your choice. Larry’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke’s Elks Rehab facility, Shaw Mountain nursing home and First Choice Hospice for their dedication, unwavering compassion, and familial support.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Webb Funeral Home and Thursday from 1:30-2:30 also at Webb Funeral Home. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
