Preston - LaWanna Betsy Warf Cummings obediently and peacefully returned to her heavenly home Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Preston, Idaho. LaWanna was born in Garland, Utah on December 11, 1932 to Lee Burners Warf and Sylvia Rose Allen, she was then raised with her six siblings in Idaho, but spent the later part of her growing up years in Boise. It was here she met a handsome young man.

LaWanna married Carroll Dean "Buck" Cummings on June 23, 1951. Together they raised four children, Lisa Thompson Graham Brandt (Jeffrey); Carolyn Rounds (Blayne); Chris Cummings (Jen); and Richard Cummings.

Shortly after she and Buck married, they moved to Arizona. It was here she became an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving with enthusiasm in various callings and capacities.

LaWanna will most be remembered for her kind heart. She was a valiant, strong woman who put the needs of others before her own. Her life was one fulfilled by her obedience, her dedication to her children and grandchildren, and her desire to care for others. Everyone was made to feel at home in LaWanna's presence. Her smile, her signature dimple, her laughter and her singing were infectious to those around her.

LaWanna is survived by her sister, Nadene Callister, her husband, her four children, twenty-one grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Her daughters would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to the professionals and friends at FCMC Transitional Care, who have given their love and service over the last decade.

In honor of her valiant, vibrant life, funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 8th East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
