Kirsten Anderson Proffit, 44,  passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Grays Harbor, Washington.   Kirsten is the daughter of Thomas Clark and Margaret-Anne Anderson.  She was born in San Francisco, California September 29, 1969 while her father was a graduate student at Berkeley.

Kirsten liked to claim she was in Berkeley in the 1960’s.  She grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan and Atlanta, Georgia.  She married Spencer Proffit June 10, 1994 in Logan, Utah.  Together they had two children, Henry and Oliver.   Kirsten and Spencer lived in Provo, Utah; Atlanta, Georgia; Cary, North Carolina and in the Seattle area, most recently on Vashon Island.  Kirsten was very creative and artistic.  She enjoyed decorating, scrapbooking, quilting, sewing, and graphic design.  Kirsten was also very charismatic, lighting up any room she entered. She made friends easily and was devoted to those she knew and loved.   She was never afraid of a new project or cause and always jumped in with both feet.

She is survived by her husband Spencer Proffit, two sons Henry and Oliver, her parents, and siblings Wendy (Craig) Lowry, Lora (Tim) Smith, Sarah (Lance) Milner, Adam (Heather) Anderson and Margie (André) Anderson.
