Weston, Idaho - - - Kenny W. Jacobson
Weston - Kenneth Weldon Jacobson, 28 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday August 6th 2012 after a valiant and courageous battle with Melanoma cancer. Kenny was born July 30th, 1984 in Preston, ID to Bart and Sherry Jacobson. Kenny grew up and passed away in his favorite place, Weston, ID.
Kenny had many hobbies throughout his life. Depending on the season you could always find him out with his family busy camping, snowmobiling, snowboarding, playing every sport you could think of. Fishing, especially Salmon and Steelhead, fishing was one of his favorites, hunting, watching Jazz games, going on rides in the beautiful country, 4 wheeling and pretty much anything that had to do with the outdoors. In 2005 he was sealed for time and all eternity to Melanie Pearce. They were then blessed with their beautiful daughter, Taya Lin, who will be 3 this month and loves her daddy dearly.
He served faithfully in his callings as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . He spent a lot of those years in the Young Men's and loved those who he was able to serve.
He is survived by his wife Melanie, of Weston, and his daughter, Taya, also of Weston, his parents Bart (Sherry) Jacobson, of Weston; brother Brice (Tara) Holmes, of Richfield, UT; a sister Tammie (Gene) Neal, of Malad, ID; and Randy Jacobson, of Weston, ID; his mother and father-in-law, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Jacobson, his Grandma and Grandpa Knudsen, an aunt Charlene Jacobson, and uncles Steve and Kenny Knudsen
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Weston 2nd Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Scott White conducting. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church in Weston. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
Kenny's family wants to show their appreciation for the sweet people who cared for him through Access Homecare and Hospice, Dr. Klassen and his crew, Huntsman Cancer Institute and also Dr. Eskelson. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Taya's name at Lewiston State Bank.
