Kayden James Christensen

KAYDEN JAMES CHRISTENSEN Cute little guy, isn't he ? Kayden James Christensen passed away on November 5, 2008, while snuggled in the loving arms of his mommy and daddy, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Kayden was born at Logan Hospital on November 2. Our little boy entered the game weighing 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 18 inches tall. He was a feisty little fighter, and scored many points. Kayden was unfairly penalizedwith kidney failure and was forced to leave the game much too early. Kayden's first big adventure was a ride in a helicopter. He first flew to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. During a brief stop he made many friends there. He then caught another flight to Primary Children's Hospital. Immediately after landing, he showed his skills at being a ladies man. The nurses there fell in love with him, and they fought over who was going to care for him. Kayden, you were with us for only a short time. But during those precious hours you were loved and cherished. Everyone who met you exclaimed about what a beautiful baby you were. Your warm fuzzy little head was nearly worn bald from all of the kisses affectionately laid upon it. You were only here briefly, but you will never be forgotten, and you will always be loved and will hold a special place in our hearts forever. Letting you go was very hard, but we knowyou will be cared for by your Grandma James and Grandma Laura Lee Atkinson, and by your great grand parents JJ and LaDine Christensen, and by Cousin Rachel. Kayden is survived by his mom and dad, Becky and Greg Christensen of Smithfield, his grandparents, Bruce and Theresa Christensen, uncle and aunt Joe and Emily Christensen, special cousin JJ, and by his uncle Andy Christensen. He is also survived by grandparents Rob and Sandy LeVan and his aunts Angie and Christina LeVan. His great grandparents are Val and Phyllis Ball, Janice Christensen, Kendall and Ivy Mae Atkinson, and Don and Wilma LeVan. Kayden also leaves behind many other friends and relatives. Services with friends and family will take place at 2:30 on Saturday, November 8, at the LDS church located at 600 E 600 South, Smithfield, followed by a graveside service at the Logan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation account for Kayden has been established at the Cache Valley Bank, either branch. The family wishes to thank all of Kayden's care givers at Logan Hospital, McKay Dee Hospital, Primary Children's Hospital, and Life Flight. Your compassion and caring was incredible. Also thanks to all of our friends and family who included Kayden and his family in their thoughts and prayers. Your love and kindness is deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten. We love you little guy, and we miss you so much.
