Kay Foster Moosman, 81, died on the 29thday of May, 2014 in Brigham City, Utah following an acute illness. Kay was born August 30, 1932 in Benson, Cache Utah to Welborn Moosman and Elsie May Rodgers Moosman.
The family moved from Benson to Mink Creek, Idaho when Kay was 12 years old. He served in the military during the Korean Conflict and served an LDS mission to Central States. He married Rosa Swainston June 24th 1960. They lived briefly in Lago, Idaho before moving to Preston, Idaho where they lived for many years. They moved to Montpeiler, Idaho in 1989 where they lived until moving to Tremonton, Utah in 2011.
Kay worked as an implement mechanic. His hobbies included woodworking and computer software. He was active in the LDS church for his entire life. He served the youth of the church in his capacity as a primary teacher and Cub Scout Den leader for many years. He was a recipient of a Silver Beaver award for his service in the cub scouts. In his later years he served as a ward clerk and in other capacities in the church.
Kay and Rosa are the parents of four daughters: Adene, who died at birth, Karla Moosman of Murray, Utah; Jeanene (Craig) Moore of Sandy, Utah; and Carolyn Larson (Guy) of Mesa, Arizona; and three sons: Kenneth (Debra) Moosman of West Jordan, Utah, Mark Moosman and Michael Moosman both of Murray, Utah. He has eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded death in by his parents, four sisters, one brother and a daughter. He is also survived by two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Tremonton South Stake Center, 1150 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah at 11:00 AM on Monday June 2, 2014. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
