Preston, Idaho - - June Lowe Biggs
Preston - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, June Francis Cartwright Lowe Biggs, 94, passed away on, December 16, 2012 in Preston, Idaho. She was born June 11, 1918 in Franklin, Idaho, daughter of Robert Doney Lowe and Olive Cartwright, the fourth of six children. She married her high school sweetheart, Ether Allen Biggs on June 26, 1937; on October 5, 1938 they were sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple. Mom always told us she was born in the best of times. World War I was almost over, the Indian affairs were settled. She watched many inventions occur including television, telephones, phonographs, cars, and airplanes.
Mom and Dad raised their family in Draper, Utah where they lived for 37 years. They owned a mink ranch for 22 years. When Mom and Dad retired they relocated to Preston, Idaho. Dad passed away February 1, 1991. Mom enjoyed raising a garden and flowers. She raised Yorkshire Terriers for 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as organist for 15 years in the primary. She played the piano beautifully by ear, loved to dance, and was a hard worker. Mom worked and volunteered at the Franklin County Senior Center for 16 years, from 1991 to 2007 and she enjoyed playing the piano for everyone to sing at the Center and played the piano each Friday for two more years. She loved the people she worked with and considered them her dearest friends. Mom always encouraged peace in the home. She loved unconditionally, had an outgoing personality and a happy disposition. She was a very special and loving person who had many friends. Mom's greatest joy was her family and friends, and she was loved by everyone who knew her. We love you mom and will miss you dearly!!
