Judith "Judy" Petterborg

Judith Moser Petterborg, 73, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 from complications following surgery in Logan, Utah.  She was born September 7, 1942 to Earl and Phyllis Christensen Moser in Preston, Idaho.  She was raised with her 4 brothers and 2 sisters in Egypt, Idaho where they helped their dad on the farm.  Judy graduated from Preston High School in 1961.

Judy married R. Thomas Petterborg (Tom) September 22, 1961 in the Logan LDS temple.  She and Tom bought the Petterborg family farm in Glendale, Idaho where they raised seven children. Judy’s industrious nature led her to create a large beautiful yard and a bountiful garden.  Her loved ones’ enjoyed delicious home-made bread, caramels, and a full cookie jar.  Recipes that turned out, “not very good” by Judy’s standards were devoured and declared delicious by family members, friends, and neighbors. 

Judy touched the lives of multiple generations of children while driving school bus for Preston School District.  For over 35 years she loved the kids on her bus. Judy served and loved others through her various church callings and daily activities.  She was a loving compassionate daughter of God.

She is survived by her husband Tom Petterborg, her children Jerry (Terri) Petterborg, Kevin (Liana) Petterborg, Jamie (Kurt) McLaws, Jeff (Sandi) Petterborg, Kory (Ruth) Petterborg, Cherie (Quivon) Carter, Allie (Andrew) Titensor, 30 grandchildren and 15 great grand children. She is also survived by her siblings Glade (Peggy), Ed (Connie), Stephen (Launa) Randy (Sherrie), Pam (Steve) Ransom, and Becky (Reuben) Orozco. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Phyllis Moser; daughter, Kelly Cecelia Petterborg; and her granddaughter, Shakeara Petterborg Waldron.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, at 12:00 Noon at the Preston North Stake Center, 310 North State Street, Preston, Idaho.  A viewing will be held Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM  at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Tuesday from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. at the Preston North Stake Center.
