JOSEPHINE P. HOBBSJosephine Peart Hobbs, 82, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Ashley Manor Care Center in Boise, Idaho. She was born August 7, 1925, in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Joseph and Louise Stoddard Peart. She married Orloff Kofoed and they had two sons together. He preceded her in death in 1962. She married G. William Hobbs on Aug. 29, 1964, in Richmond, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had one son together.Josephine will be missed by all those who knew her. While we know that her spirit lives on and that her condition is temporary while she awaits the resurrection, her absence is felt. She is/was a wonderful woman. Caring and devoted to her family, showing that love by example and sacrifices she is and was an example of a good Christian. While with us, she always enjoyed music and was a good singer. Her favorite hymn was "I Stand All Amazed" and while she wished she played the piano, she certainly practiced and enjoyed other talents and hobbies. She enjoyed genealogy work and did a large amount of that in her life. She enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, cooking, quilting, collecting art objects, the outdoors, traveling, and, was a fastidious house keeper. She served others and maintained a sense of civility and culture beyond her simple upbringing which matured gracefully as she matured.She is survived by her husband, Bill, of Boise; three sons, James (Jacqueline) Kofoed of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Lew (Ruth Ann) Kofoed of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Robert (Debra) Hobbs of Nampa, Idaho; ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.She is missed and not forgotten home to be with her parents and siblings, loved and appreciated.
