Grace, Idaho - - - Jon D. Haslam
Grace - Jon David Haslam, 32, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 6 2012 at his home in Grace, Idaho. He was born on August 17, 1979 in Logan, Utah to Carl Dean and Kathleen Perry Haslam. He marries Buffie Jo Godderidge on October 11, 2003 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He attended Thatcher Elementary, and Graduated from Grace High School. He served an LDS Mission to the Louisville, Kentucky mission. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints and served in various callings including in the Elder's Quorum Presidency and as a home teacher. Jon loved trucks and was a truck driver for Paul Jones Trucking. One of the great moments in his life was when he met and married his soul-mate and best friend Buffie Jo. Another high light is his son Mac, his little man, and all-around little buddy who loves his dad.
He is survived by his wife Buffie, and his son Macaden, of Grace, ID; a brother Brian (Jerilyn) Haslam, of Hyrum, UT; and a sister Tamara (Juan) Martinez, of Ogden, UT; his parents Carl and Kathy Haslam, of Cleveland, ID; his grandparents Joyce (Glen) Perry, of Idaho Falls, ID; parents-in-law Joe and Connie Godderidge, of Trenton, UT; brother-in-law Jody (Debbie) Godderidge, of Smithfield, UT; and Angie (Christian) Lee, of Rock Springs, WY; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents David and Myrna Haslam, grandpa LeRoy Perry, and an uncle Craig Perry.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 12:00 noon in the Grace Stake Center in Grace, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the stake center, and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. also at the stake center. Interment will be in the Grace Cemetery.
