Joice L. Bambrough 87, passed away in Preston, Idaho on January 8, 2018. She was born on September 24, 1930 in Preston, Idaho to Palmer Johnson and Dorma Kirby Johnson.
Joice spent her early years growing up on a family farm in Preston and then moved with her family to California when she was 13. There she graduated at Modesto High School and went on to Modesto Jr. college. She returned to Preston where she met Dean Alma Bambrough and they were married August 24, 1951. Dean and Joice raised four children in Preston; Sally, Shelly, Bryan and Matthew. Over the years Joice was employed for several companies; Mel’s Drug, Pepperidge Farm and Presto Products. After retirement she worked in the kitchen at the Franklin County Medical Center. Wherever Joice was employed, all those around her became life-long friends. Joice was best known for the love and kindness she showed to everyone she met.
Joice is survived by her loving companion Eugene Cole, Preston, ID, her children; Sally (Bruce) Moser, Preston, ID; Shelly (Scott) Maycock, Durango, CO; Bryan (Marilyn) Morgan, Ut; Mathew (Tawna) Idaho Falls, ID. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by four sisters; Marleen Gribble, Sandy, UT, Carolyn Reese, Springville UT, Evonne Bolton, Payson UT , Janet Merrill, Payson UT, and one brother Delbert Bridenstine, Brigham City, UT. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Dean Bambrough, three brothers; Roy Jr. Bridenstine, Wayne Bridenstine, Don Bryant and a beloved grandson Westin Maycock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:30 AM – 11:30 also at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the Franklin County Transitional Care Unit for their kind and respectful treatment for our mother.
