JoAnn Francis Sparrow, 58, of Linrose, Idaho was called to a new mission and a joyful reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time on April 16th, 2015, having fought a long fight against Rheumatoid Arthritis and a short battle against Pulmonary Fibrosis.
She was born November 24th, 1956 in Twin Falls, Idaho the daughter of William "Tony" Joseph and Nelda Bradley Francis
She married Marv Sparrow on October 29th, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS temple and helped to raise their four children in Linrose, Idaho. She was a long-time employee of Pepperidge Farm, Inc., and served in various callings in her LDS ward.
JoAnn will be remembered for her dedication to family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook. It was common to have Thanksgiving dinner several times a year. Her apple and pecan pies are a confectionary delight.
JoAnn loved to quilt. She always had a project going. Her hands were always busy with a project. She is known as "Grandma JoAnn" or "Grandma GO Ann". Her energy seemed to be endless either working or playing.
JoAnn has a tremendous ability to love others. A love that will live as a legacy to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Marv, her daughter Jennifer Rae (John) Mills, her son, Scott Homer (Paige) Sparrow, her daughter Karen Renee (Brandon) Rawlings, her son Charles Lars (Melissa) Sparrow, and fourteen grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers, Bill (Pauline) Francis, Priscilla (Vernon) Hoskin, Peter (Diane) Francis, Ina (Byron) Johnson, Kimball (Vickie) Francis, James (Kathleen) Francis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Paul Bradley Francis.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Noon in the Linrose Ward Chapel in Dayton, Idaho with Bishop Frank Turnbow conducting. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 8th East, Preston, Idaho and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
