PRESTON, IDAHO JOANN HENDERSON
PRESTON- JoAnn Evans Henderson, 72, passed away on Feb. 6, 2013, at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho, from causes incident to a stroke. She was born May 12, 1940, in Preston, Idaho, the daughter of Morgan David and Afton Smith Evans. She married Errol Pratt Henderson on Oct. 3, 1958, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She lived in Preston, Pocatello and Soda Springs, Idaho. She was employed over the years by Double Kwik in Soda Springs and as the deli manager at Lew and Dan's in Soda Springs. She retired from Presto Products and was currently employed at Groll's Family Fitness. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and especially enjoyed serving in the nursery. She served and LDS Service Mission at the Logan Distribution Center and was currently serving in the baptistery of the Logan Temple.
She loved attending her children and grandchildren's sporting and school events. She loved to serve other people. She enjoyed reading, exercising and was an avid Utah Jazz fan. She cherished spending time with her mother, Afton.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Julie (Michael) Wing of Providence, Utah; Brian E. (Tammy) Henderson of Helena, Montana; Bradley D. (Joni) Henderson of Downey, Idaho; Jill (Cody) Kendall of Thatcher, Idaho; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and by her mother, Afton Evans of Preston. She was preceded in death by her husband, by her father and by a sister, Maurine Rogers Mayhew.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston Tenth Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., Preston, with Bishop Doug Roper conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
