PRESTON, IDAHO - - JOANN HANSEN
PRESTON- JoAnn Telford Hansen, 79, beloved by all her family and friends, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho.
She was born April 11, 1933, in Lewiston, Utah, the daughter of Ross and Zelma Rawlins Telford. She was the oldest of four children. She married Max L. Hansen on Oct. 1, 1952, in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Preston where they were blessed with four children which she considered her greatest joy.
JoAnn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in various capacities over the years. She enjoyed sewing, working in her flower beds and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed visiting teaching and was grateful for the friendships she developed. One of her greatest joys was the time she spent working at the Fashion Center over several years.
She is survived by her husband, Max Hansen of Preston; four children, Carey (Lee) Cole of Preston; Kristi (Clarke) Thompson of Rexburg, Idaho; Craig (Susan) Hansen of Preston; Sheri (Kenneth) Hollingsworth of Preston; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and by a brother, Larry Telford of Fairview, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, by a brother, Brooks Telford, a sister, Patricia Larsen and by a grandson, Kayd Hansen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Preston First Ward Chapel, 213 S. 200 E., Preston with Bishop Tim Golightly conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Tuesday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
