Joan Geddes Hart

Our dearest wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Joan Geddes Hart, born April 20, 1943, passed peacefully from complications due to Parkinson's Disease. She married the catch of her life, Mark Dean Hart, in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with seven children. Mom was an exceptional homemaker, and hostess, always being quick to throw a party or reunion for dozens of friends and family.
She faithfully served her Lord as a Young Women's and Relief Society President, a seminary teacher, a Gospel Doctrine teacher, and a Temple Ordinance Worker, to name a few. She was always active serving in Church callings and thoroughly enjoyed service as a Temple Square missionary with her husband.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Mark Dean Hart, her children - Douglas (Diana), Suzanne (Bill), Richard (Jennifer), Peter (Jeana), Angela (Gary), Mary (Kenneth), Stewart (Lillian) and 28 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her parents as well as her brother, James Geddes, sister, Karla Geddes Cattani and other brothers/sisters in law.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing and services in the LDS Church 11777 South Willow Wood Drive, Sandy. Eastridge 4th Ward building. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and Viewing Friday at 9:30-10:30 a.m. before services begin at 11:00. Interment will be in the Preston, Idaho cemetery.
