Jesse Alfred Talbot

Jesse Alfred Talbot, 67, passed away on March 15, 2016 at his home in Brigham City, Utah from congestive heart failure. He was born August 16, 1948 in Preston, Idaho the son of Ross Angus and Dora Carter Talbot. He married Karen Sorenson on Aug. 18, 1967. They had four children: Brian, Travis, Wendy and Jen. They were divorced in 1979. He married Joyce Potter around 1980 and they were married a few years. In 1988, he married Ruth Diane Mower and they had one child together, Landen. They were divorced in 2012.

Jesse loved the outdoors- hunting and fishing. He loved horses very much and all his animals including a dog "Tank", a dog "Sampson" and a horse "Moonstone". He enjoyed cutter racing. He would have loved to raise another colt before he passed. His radio enjoyment included listening to Sean Hannity, Dr. Laura and Rush Limbaugh- he really enjoyed political doomsday talk shows.

He loved to teach about "patience". He was a long haul truck driver for many years. He also worked at Thiokol for 10 years. He liked to hang out with his buddies drinking coffee at LD’s in Richmond and Sill’s Café in Layton, Utah. He enjoyed family activities and his children, grandchildren and pets were his whole world.

He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Brian (Joanne) Talbot of Brigham City, Utah; Travis (Angel) Talbot of Banida, Idaho; Wendy T. (Mike) Likert of Clinton, Utah; Jen (Brandon) Talbot of Clifton, Idaho; Landen Talbot of Twin Falls, Idaho; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Heather (Tyler) Poulsen of Farmington, Utah; a stepson, Chisholm (Natalie) Midkiff of Logan, Utah; and by three brothers and three sisters, Marriett Speth of West Valley City, Utah, Virginia Talbot of Preston, Idaho, Ross Jr. (Barbara) Talbot of Smithfield, Utah, Valarie (Dan) Herzog of Nibley, Utah, Carter (Eliza) Talbot of Logan, Utah and Steven (Jill) Talbot of West Jordan, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
