KAYSVILLE, UTAH - - JACK WINWARD
KAYSVILLE- Jack Holloway Winward, 76, passed away on Feb. 28, 2012, at the Davis County Medical Center in Layton, Utah. He was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Preston, Idaho, the son of John Dalley and Martha Emily Holloway Winward.
He graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City and then served an LDS Mission to Los Angeles, California. He served his county in the US Army from 1959-61. He graduated from LDS Business College with degrees in Accounting and Data Processing. He married Ruth Bradford on March 4, 1966 in the Logan Utah Temple.
He served as Executive Secretary and in the scouting programs and in numerous callings in the LDS Church. He worked for Utah Power for thirty years. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family- especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Winward of Kaysville; a daughter, Ruth Ann Wimmer of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; a son, Jack Bradford Winward of Cumberland, Rhode Island; by four grandchildren, M. David Wimmer, Annika Ruth Wimmer, Daniel W. Wimmer and Adam A. Wimmer; a sister, Lueve (Boyd) Whitby of Centerville, Utah; a brother, Robert Terry (Della) Winward of Kennewick, Washington; and by a sister-in-law, Pauline Winward of Layton, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Richard B. Winward.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Saturday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
