Banida - Jack Miles Geddes, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Banida, Idaho surrounded by family. He was born on March 27, 1952 in Preston, Idaho to Hugh James and Sarah Miles Geddes. He married Cristy Jean Hall on June 16, 1972 in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.

Jack loved the outdoors. He loved to be out hunting or fishing and had many memories spending time with family doing both. He enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his family. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved teaching the 12 year old scouts, a calling he held for many years.

He is survived by his children, Casey Jack Geddes, of Preston, ID; Benjamin Hugh (Kellie) Geddes, of Connell, WA; Tricia Ann Geddes, of Pocatello, ID; Chad Ryan (Trisha) Geddes, of Mapleton, OR; and Candice (James) Simmonds, of Preston, ID; 16 grandchildren, and his siblings Carol (Richard) Pilgrim, of Woods, Cross UT; Miles (Josephine) Geddes, of Banida, ID; Jed (Ladawn) Geddes, of Preston, ID; and Phillip (Judy) Geddes, of Banida, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Cristy.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Winder Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Alan Atkinson conducting. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
