PRESTON, IDAHO - - HILDA M. SPERLE

PRESTON- Hilda Martha Herrman Sperle, 95, passed away on Nov. 3, 2010, in Preston, Idaho. She was born June 21, 1915, in Ingomar, Montana, the daughter of Soloman H. and Lydia Stoebner Herrman. She married Theodore Sperle on Sept. 24, 1936, in Eureka, South Dakota. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1987.

She loved to bake, cook and sew. She made hundreds of beautiful pillows. She made the best potato salad ever! She loved her children and always did the very best for them.

She is survived by five daughters and one son, Lucille Aldridge of Seattle, Wash; Roger (Judy) Sperle of Kent, Wash; Judy (O'Neil) Douglas of Wapato, Wash; Sheila Richins of Ogden, Utah; Janet (David) Long of Preston, Idaho; Rhonda (Brad) Warra of Naselle, Wash; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, by a brother, Harvey Herrman of DuPress, South Dakota; and by two sisters, Virginia Dawson of Sacramento, Calif; and Janice Speidel of Wright, Wyoming. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Sperle; a daughter, Elaine Sperle; by four great grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at the Cathlamet LDS Church on Messenger Hill in Cathlamet, Washington. Friends may call Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho, and Thursday, Nov. 11th from 11-:45 a.m. at the church in Cathlamet.
