Oxford, Idaho - Henry A. Jensen, 90, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. He was born on October 1, 1924 in Holbrook, Idaho, the 11th of 13 children born to Henry Andreas Jensen and Elvira Caroline Mortensen. He married Saramae Porter on October 6, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He served in the US Army during World War II. After the war he worked on his father's farm and in the Garland, Whitney, and Lewiston Sugar Factories and a potato plant in Linrose, Utah. He worked at the DelMonte Corporation in Franklin for 32 years. He played the accordion like his dad did and played at many family reuninons. He also loved playing the harmonica. He loved spending time with his family. He had made many friends at the Heritage Home.
Henry is survived by two daughters, Desiree (Gary), Darla Mae (Gil), five sons, Ronald (Kaylene), Bradley (Ann), Boyd (Carolee), Odell (Jackie) Wayne (Maria), and 13 grandchildren. He is survived by two sisters, Maxine and Mary Lou. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Saramae, four sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clifton 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
