Helen Larson Carter our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep January 23, 2010 at her home in Thatcher, Idaho. She was 96 years old. Helen was born October 27,1913, in Preston, Idaho to James Alma and Martha Swainston Larson. She married Myrin Davis (Dick) Carter in the Logan LDS temple on September 20, 1934. Helen was an active member of the LDS Church serving in numerous positions. She enjoyed many years as a member of the Grace Literary Club. Helen was an excellent seamstress and quilter, avid reader and a talented writer, she also loved to travel.
She is survived by her 8 children, Douglas (Elaine), Helen Ruth (Klair), Roger (Helen), Stephen (Judy), Barbara (Barry), Becky, Philip (Julie), Cathy (Joe in spirit), her 23 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 13 great- great grandchildren.Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Services will be held Friday, January 29th at 12:00PM at the Thatcher Ward Chapel in Niter Idaho. Family and friends may call Friday from 10-11:30 AM prior to the service at the church.
