Ogden, Utah - - - Heidi S. Rogerson
Ogden - Heidi Shay Rogerson passed away on Friday September 18, 2009 at her home in Riverdale, Utah. Heidi was born in Logan Utah on February 5, 1977 to Charles and Verlene Rogerson. At the age of 18 Heidi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer she had her first operation where a junior granulose tumor was removed just before Graduating from Preston High School, in Preston, Idaho, Heidi then attended Stevens Henager Collage and received her diploma in accounting. She worked as an accounts receivable accountant for the next 12 years
Soon after graduation Heidi had a second operation to relieve severe pain caused by internal scar tissue and at the same time she was given a hysterectomy to prevent any further chance of cancer. Heidi had a third operation to remove scar tissue and another cyst the size of a grapefruit at the Huntsman cancer institute. From the first operation to her final days in spite of the pain she suffered every day of her life, Heidi was quick to strike up a conversation or friendship with people she would meet she would tease and joke and find ways to put others at ease She always made others feel important and that they could make a difference. Although she could not have kids of her own she loved her nieces, nephews and neighbors kids very much and they all loved her in return.
Heidi is survived by her parents Chuck (Verlene) Rogerson; her brothers Cody (Michelle) Rogerson, Jamie (Mindy) Rogerson, Ryan (Kelly) Rogerson, and Rick Rogerson, Grandmothers Priscilla Burdett and Estelle Smith, Franklin Idaho She was preceded in death by her Grandfathers Verl Smith and Earl Rogerson and her uncle Richard Rogerson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the Franklin Stake Center with Bishop Randy Sharp conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida in Preston, Idaho, and Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
