Cleveland, Idaho Robert Anthon "Gus" NanceCleveland - Robert (Gus) Anthon Nance, 68, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Logan, Utah. He was born April 23, 1939 in Manassa, Colorado to Augustus Young and Almita Irene Holland Nance. He married MarLane Covert on March 4, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple.Gus loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed building stuff which ranged from anything to everything. He liked having farm animals. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church where he served in the Bishopric, Sunday School, and was a home teacher. He had a great love of family and loved his grandkids very much. He was a store manager at the Franklin County Grain Growers where he made many friends. He is survived by his wife MarLane, of Cleveland; children Ronda (Blake) Brimhall, Lawton, OK; Tami Shurtleff, Soda Springs, ID; Mishele (Keith) Bills, Logan, UT; Kristy (Kim) Linford, Green River, WY; Jason (LaKill) Nance, Clifton, ID; Jeremy (Jaymi) Nance, Weston, ID; Mandy (Westen) Jensen, Logan, UT; 21 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers Alvin (Anna) Nance, Syracuse, UT; Aldon (Connie) Nance, East Layton, UT; and four sisters Annette (Duane) Johnson, Mountain Green, UT; Susan (Steve) Anderson, Syracuse, UT; Judy (Val) Shupe, Ogden, UT; and Alice (Bill) Davis, Ogden, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Albert Nance, and a grandson Brandon Brimhall.Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thatcher Williams Ward Chapel with Bishop Steve Smith conducting. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, in Preston, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Cleveland Cemetery.
