Our loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Gloria W. Larsen returned to the arms of loved ones on May 14, 2016 surrounded by her family. Mom was born on April 17, 1938 in Lewiston, Utah to George and Alice Williams. She married Sherwin Larsen in the Logan LDS Temple on January 25, 1957.
Mom was a beautician extraordinaire for 53 years. Those who knew and loved mom, knew of her wicked sense of humor, laughter, and git-R-done attitude. Her most favorite things were spending time with family, cooking for an army, gardening, and singing. She was loved by everyone who came in contact with her. Mom’s kindness and giving nature throughout the years were returned. Thank you: Richard for the beautiful flowers that you brought mom every week, Viviane Christensen and Bridget Rhoten for the lovely Sunday dinners, Cove Ward members for your caring and loving support, La Tienda, Big J’s and LD’s employees for treating our mom with such respect as her health worsened. We are so thankful for you all – God Bless You!
Mom was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Wendell and Brian Williams; brother-in-law’s, RJ (Carl) Robinson and Orval Jones. She is survived by her husband Sherwin, her three daughters; Lexy Jensen (Casey), Diane Anderson (Byron), and Sam Douglass (Brady); 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Garold Williams; brothers, Marv Williams and Dallon Williams; sisters, Donna Jones and Laurel Kristofferson, and sister-in-law’s Shirley Robinson and Colleen Williams.
Special thanks to Autumn Care’s in-home caregivers, Symbii Home Health and Hospice, and mom’s nurse, Leslie. Words can’t express how grateful we are as a family for your compassion and thoughtful care given to our mom.
