Whitney, Idaho - - - Glenn W. "Butch" Taylor
Whitney - Glenn W. "Butch" Taylor, 64, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at Ogden Regional Medical Center in Ogden, Utah from complications due to Peripheral Vascular Disease. He was born May 19, 1945 in Cub River, Idaho to Heber and Erma Wright Taylor. He married Shirley Barnum on June 21, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Butch drove truck for EA Miller for 19 years and then for DFA for 23 years. He served for many years on the Franklin County Search and Rescue. He enjoyed wildlife and feeding birds. He loved his tractor and enjoyed fixing things. He loved being a grandpa! He also loved family parties and reunions - as long as he only had to stir the root beer! He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era and was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of Whitney, Idaho; his children Loveta Harris, of Lewiston, UT; Floyd Heard, of Houston, TX; and Brooks (Kim) Taylor, of Palestine, AR; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister Connie (LaVere) Burnett, of Wichita Falls, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and son-in-law Oleta and Scott Lindhardt, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mapleton Idaho LDS chapel. A viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
