George E. Wilson

George E. Wilson, 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at his residence in Ogden, Utah.  George was born in Malad, ID to George G. and Myra Heward Unthank Wilson. A loving family man, he married the love of his life, Irma (Fae) Wilson, on October 31, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. He enlisted with the army and served stateside and overseas during WWII. After the war, George worked at Hill Air Force Base as a sheet metal worker. Alongside his wife, he raised six boys: Newel George (Kathy), Nolan Guy (Jena), Nacey Glen (Susann), Niven Gale (Jeanne), Neldon Glade (Marlene), and Nicholas Gene (Pam).

George was born on Thanksgiving Day, 1922 and he died on Christmas Eve, 2014. His pride was his family, and was able to hand-build their home in Roy, UT. As a young man, he had his pilot’s license and was an avid flyer. He also enjoyed deer hunting, traveling, and camping for his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Cora, his brothers Lester and Elgie, and his son, Nolan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec 30, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston, Idaho.  A viewing will be on Tuesday December 30^th, 2014, from 11:00-11:45 a.m. also at  Webb Funeral Home.
