Preston - George Guy Maughan Murray, 72, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2013 in Logan, Utah at the Logan Regional Hospital. He was born on December 17, 1940 in Preston, Idaho to Robert Bailey and Edith Maughan Murray.
George attended Utah State University until he was drafted into the US Army. After his service he worked in various jobs including farming. He loved anything to do with airplanes and enjoyed flying. He was a great mechanic and could fix or rebuild almost anything. He always loved old cars and he always had a dog.
He is survived by his sister Lorraine Perkins, of Roy, UT; a brother Robert (Pauline) Murray, of Hurricane, UT; and a special niece Dawna (DelRa) Talbot, of Preston, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Arlene Muir, and a brother Grant Murray. He was also preceded in death by his 20 year old poodle, Dillard.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
