LEWISTON- Geniel Hymas Webb, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, in Logan, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 1, 1932 in Sharon, Bear Lake County, Idaho. She was the youngest child, and only daughter of Samuel Leo and Ireta Richards Hymas. She had two older brothers, Leo Dean Hymas and Bruce Richards Hymas.

At the age of 5 years she moved to Smithfield, Utah where she grew up on the family farm. Here she was taught the value of hard work.
She attended Summitt Grade School, Smithfield Jr. High and graduated from North Cache High School. She loved music and participated in many musical activities through out her life.

She married her high school sweet heart and best friend Albert Leon Webb on July 7, 1949. He passed away June 25, 1980. The couple made their home in Richmond, Utah on the Webb family farm. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with six children, Jenis, Reed, Jay, Lynn, Lloyd and Robert.

Geniel was a devote member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel. She loved serving in the many callings she had through out her life. She served a faithful mission in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Family History Center.

Her posterity includes 6 children, 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grand children who love her dearly. They are her greatest joy.
She is survived by a daughter Jenis (Brent) Glover, Lewiston, Utah. Sons Jay (Josie) Webb, Pleasant View, Utah, Lloyd (Linda) Webb, Escondido, Cal., Robert (Marshe) Webb, Smithfield, Utah. Daughters in law Claudia Webb Orem, Utah and Lorie Webb (Matt) Allred Idaho Falls, Idaho; a brother, Leo Dean Hymas, Washington and a sister-in-law, Duveen Hymas (Ron) Gunter, Kemmerer, Wyoming. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon, sons Reed Leon Webb and Lynn Hymas Webb and by a brother, Bruce Richards Hymas.

She was the perfect example of what a Mother and Grandmother should be. We always knew she loved each of us and took great interest in each of our lives. We love you dearly and will miss you so much.
The family would like to thank the many special friends and neighbors for the kindness shown to Mom. A special Thank you to Dr. Michael Stone and Staff. We will remember it always.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. in the Lewiston Second Ward Chapel, 10 S. 1600 W., Lewiston, with Bishop Kent Buttars conducting. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho, and Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the church.
