PRESTON- Gary Kenneth Roberts, 60, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 while on vacation in Mesa, Arizona.
He was born Jan. 30, 1951 in American Fork, Utah, the son of Kenneth and Lucille Clark Roberts. Gary was a graduate of Preston High School, an Elder in the LDS Church and he served a mission in Dallas, Texas in 1971.
Gary served many church callings, the last nine years he enjoyed being the Sunday school secretary in his ward. He especially enjoyed his calling to assist with the Stake Baptisms.
Gary worked for O.P. Skaggs for 13 years and the last 9 years for Stokes. Gary loved his work, especially being around people. Gary was honored to recieve the "Reward Your Neighbor" award from the citizens of Preston. Gary loved traveling with his family and enjoyed many trips, to many locations.
Gary is survived by his mother, Lucille Clark Roberts, of Preston. He is preceded in death by a sister, Sharlene Lucille Roberts, his brother, Dale Allen Roberts and his Father, Kenneth Roberts. The family would like to thank everyone for all their kindnesses and expressions of love.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 N. State, Preston, with Bishop Tom Madsen conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 South 800 East, Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. in the American Fork, Utah Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
