Francisa (Frances) Garcia

Francisca (Frances) Mendoza Garcia, 75, passed away on Feb. 17, 2015 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho.  She was born Oct. 10, 1939 in Mesa, Arizona the daughter of Gustavo and Maria Herrera Mendoza.  She married Pedro (Pete) Garcia on Oct. 5, 1961, in Franklin, Idaho.  Pete preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2000.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.  She enjoyed cooking and camping.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by four sons and four daughters, Richard (Kelly) Garcia; Terri (Rod) Ames; Jess Garcia; Rita Belew; Becky (Ross) Loertscher; Francisca Garcia; Pete Garcia; Martin (Rose) Garcia all of Preston; twenty-two grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Delores Mendoza of Merced, California; Margaret (Frank) Herrera of Lewiston, Utah; Louis Mendoza of Salt Lake City, Utah; Mikel Mendoza Lopez of Preston, Idaho; Carmen Salizar of Supedio, Arizona; and by a brother-in-law, Jose Nunez Carriedo of Lewiston, Utah.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, by a sister, Rose Carriedo; by a grandson, Shayson Belew and by a brother, Alfonso Mendoza.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 308 E. Oneida, Preston, Idaho.  Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 8th East, Preston and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. also at Webb Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
