Ezra DeVerle Frandsen

Ezra DeVerle Frandsen, 78, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. He was born on October 27, 1937 in Logan, Utah to Nelse and Ellen Grace Atkinson Frandsen. He met the love of his life MarJean Stone, the weekend of Black and White Days in Richmond. He said that no one was crazy enough to marry him. They married on June 27, 1958 and were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple on April 16, 1968.

Ezra worked for many years on the Hobbs Dairy Farm in Franklin, Idaho. He loved working outdoors. Dad loved camping, playing board games with family. He always enjoyed playing softball and his position was catcher. He played basketball and was an avid Jazz fan. He loved to watch the Jazz games and yell at the referees on TV. He taught his family about hard work. He enjoyed pheasant hunting in the fall and enjoyed his priesthood calling.

He is survived by his wife MarJean, of Franklin; his children Carol (Neil) Davis, of Franklin; Bonnie (Steve) Bassett, of Franklin; Mary Foulger, of Ogden, UT; Bobby Frandsen, of Preston; Peggy (Ken)  Marx, of Maryland; Nancy (Dennis) Kaae, of Logan, UT; Bruce (Julie) Gooding, ID; Jolynn (Juan Tony) Rodriguez, of Smithfield, UT; Cody of Gooding, ID; and Angela of Smithfield, UT. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Neldon and Ramon and two sisters Lorrainne Povey and Mardell Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Carrie Lee and brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home in Preston. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
