Evelyn Greene

Evelyn Harrison Greene, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2017 in the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born on June 13, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho to Frank Carl and Ethel Bernice Thornton Harrison. She married Ross Whitney Greene on April 28, 1984 in Weston, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.

Evelyn worked hard at many different jobs to provide for her family. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and other various crafts. She loved family history and genealogy work. She served in several church callings, but she especially enjoyed serving with her husband as a temple worker. she served in the daughter's of Utah pioneers & made many special friends through her quilting group. She loved being surrounded by her family and had a special relationship with each of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Ross, and her children Richard Douglas Wood, Steven Carl (Terry) Wood, of Cathedral City, CA; Joan Deanne (Arvid) Aase, of Kemmerer, WY; David Anthony (Amy) Wood, of Smithfield, UT; Michelle (Curtis) Priestley, of Weston, ID; and Jennifer (Clayton) Soosay, of Preston, ID; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Ethel Rae (John) Griggs, of Pocatello, ID; Alene Harrison, of Orem, UT; and Carol Ann Robertson of Tooele, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the Weston 2nd Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com

The family would like to thank Dr. Beckstead and the staff at Franklin County hospital and transitional care, as well as all of the special nurses and CNA's that have cared for her over the past year and a half.
