Leone was born Dec. 31, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Ruel and Eula Jorgensen Seely, where she had a happy childhood surrounded by extended family. She attended grade school there, then studied secretarial skills at Brigham Young University before moving to Salt Lake City and beginning her employment as a secretary. There she met her future husband Ross. They were married in the Manti Temple. Together they lived in Fairbanks, Alaska; Cleveland, Idaho; Logan, Utah; Preston, Idaho; and Thatcher, Idaho. Leone worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, and many other jobs during her busy life. She was the bookkeeper for the mining business she and her husband owned. She was a vivacious mother and friend, who approached all her responsibilities and activities wholeheartedly. She loved her husband and children and devoted her energy to giving them wonderful lives. Her faith in Jesus Christ and her testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were unwavering. She loved music and blessed many as she performed in singing groups and served in Primary, Relief Society, and Ward Choir callings in the LDS Church. She loved collecting recipes, playing card and board games, the Utah Jazz, and holding yard sales. She held in her heart every friend she met, including the many medical caregivers who showed her kindness during her final illness.
