Eugene was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and prospecting. He was an artist and won ribbons for his art. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War.
He later met and married Janet Valee Holberton and they combined their families to make six children and then by a miracle added Teresa and Tanny.
