IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO ELAINE TAYLOR
IDAHO FALLS- Elaine Bluth Taylor, 90, former Fairview, Idaho resident, passed away on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, from natural causes at Bonaventure Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, under the care of hospice. She was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Oliver Ferdinand and Agnes Scott Bluth.
She graduated from high school in 1941. She taught school in Colonia, Chiuchupa, Mexico. From 1943-45, she served an LDS Mission to Mexico. She attended BYU from 1946-47 where she met Ray Nielson Taylor. They were married on Jan. 27, 1948, in the Mesa Arizona Temple.
They lived in Banida, Idaho during the winters until 1967 when they moved to Fairview, Idaho. They spent their summers on the ranch in Enoch Valley. She was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed music and spent many hours playing the piano. Ray and Elaine moved to Idaho Falls in April of 2008. Ray preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2008.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Becky Kessinger (Fred Kirschmer) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; James (Kelly) Taylor of Shelley, Idaho; Laura Lue (Robert) Allen of Perry, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; by a brother, Scott (Jewel) Bluth of Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico; and by a sister, Lynette (C.B.) Switzer of St.George, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, by two brothers, Jerry Dean Bluth and Rolla Bon Bluth, by a grandson, Courtney J. Niederer, and by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
