Dora Anna Davis Porter, 98, passed away on August 17, 2014 at the Heart & Home Assisted Living Center in Centerville, Utah. She was born October 17, 1915 in Preston, Idaho the daughter of David Emanuel and Annie Marie Nelson Davis. She graduated from Preston High School. In 1937, she married Boyd C. Porter and they were later divorced.
She worked for Wheeler Machinery in Salt Lake City, Utah for 27 years until her retirement. She loved dancing and was very proud of publishing a large family history book.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (James) Skinner of Bountiful, Utah; by 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and by a sister, Nola D. (Charles) Hobbs of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by a son, Clair D. Porter; by a grandson, David D. Stone; by her parents and by four brothers, David, Paul, Blaine and Homer Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston 3/10th Building, 155 N. 200 W., Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church.
