Dora Smith Beveridge, 99, passed away peacefully March 26, 2017 at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born June 17, 1917 in Cleveland, Idaho the daughter of George Albert and Hannah Margaret Nielsen Smith. She married James A. Beveridge on June 26, 1941 in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and throughout her years she lovingly served in many Ward and Stake callings including as Relief Society President, on the Stake Primary and Relief Society boards, as a visiting teacher and various other teaching callings. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Dora touched many lives in the service of her Heavenly Father. It was her nature to make time and share her love to help those in need. She was always eager to share her chocolate cake and shrimp salad.
She is survived by three daughters, Marian (Robert) Hartung of Hyde Park, Utah; Linda (Ervin) Olsen of Tooele, Utah; Margaret Wilde of Salt Lake City, Utah; nine grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, by a son-in-law, Dwain Wilde and by her parents and twelve siblings.
A celebration of Dora’s life will be Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
