Derek Jade Seamons beloved Son, Grandson, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and Friend left his mortal journey in Preston Idaho and was welcomed home November 17, 2014 by his Grandpas.
Derek was born on a cold November 21, 1990 in Logan UT to Sara Beth Bodily and Warren Seamons. He quickly became the apple of both his Grandpas' eyes who taught him many things including how to fish and to play “stick ball”.
He later became a wonderful Big Brother to Wesley Lowe, MaKayla Seamons, Nathan Lowe and Ashlyn Seamons. He was there to love and support them and he later taught them to hunt and fish. This summer he added step brother to his many names when Jessie, TJ and Grace Jenkins joined the family.
Derek loved to be outdoors enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, trail riding, hiking, and Jeeping. He seemed to be happiest there. He completed his education in Preston ID graduating from Preston High School in 2009. He was working with his father in Smithfield UT at ICON Health and Fitness Inc.
He will be remembered by his contagious smile, easy laugh and fiercely loyal friendship. Many friends and family have been recipients of his many acts of kindness. He was his father’s best friend and his mother’s saving grace. Our lives have been blessed and enriched by knowing him.
He is survived by his mother, Sara (Roger) Jenkins of Newton UT, His father Warren ( Mary) Seamons of Preston ID, his siblings and a very large and loving expended family. He leaves a hole in our hearts being healed by the sure knowledge of The Plan of Salvation.
An account has been set up to help with the expenses at any Wells Fargo under “Derek Seamons Memorial Fund”
