Dennis Dockstader

Dennis Dockstader, 85, passed away March 27, 2024, in Provo, Utah.  He was born Feb. 24, 1939, in Preston, Idaho, the son of Adam Grant and Viriga Rasmussen Dockstader. He married Sharlene Bodily, had 4 beautiful children, and later divorced. He remarried Evelyn Long in 1992. 

 

He is survived by his wife Evelyn; by a brother, Clynn Dockstader; and by his children as follows: two sons and two daughters, Justin (Jennifer) Dockstader; Natalie D. (Robert) Abudulahi; Rodney (Sarah) Dockstader; Rhonda Dockstader; by one step-daughter, Laura Whitmore (Tim Whitmore-deceased); three step-sons, Wendell Weeks, David (Marjorie) Weeks and Lorin Weeks. Dennis is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, by two brothers, Blaine and Douglas Dockstader, and by a sister, Bernice Dockstader.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday April 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mapleton Ward Chapel, 5307 E. Cub River Rd., Preston, Idaho. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be in the Mapleton Cemetery.  The family wants to thank the staff at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah for their care of Dennis.
