Richmond - Debra Lynn Day Purser, 56, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan, Utah. She was born on February 27, 1954 in Logan, Utah to N. Wayne and Arlene Lawrence Day. She married Garth W. Purser on September 25, 1971 in Richmond, Utah.
Debra was very active and loved spending time with her family. She loved crocheting and quilting and made many beautiful afghans and quilts. She was a manager at Utah State University's Aggie Ice Cream and worked at Theurer's store in Richmond. She was a really great cook and has always loved animals.
She is survived by her husband Garth, of Richmond; her son Lee Purser and Monica Barela, of Richmond; granddaughter Angela Shaylynn Purser, and step-grandchildren Brayson and Tayden Edwards, of Richmond; sisters and Dixie Massey, of Beeker, CO; Linda Greene, of Dayton, ID; and Suann Day of Richmond; and a brother Kent Wayne Day, of Logan, UT; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Angela.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Richmond Stake Center 135 West Main in Richmond. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Stake Center and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the church. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
