Preston - Daniel Kenneth Daniels, 81, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. He was born on July 14, 1930 in Fresno, California to Stephenson K. Daniels and Thelma Coffman. He grew up in Stockton, California. He married Verna Joan Smith on May 4, 1951 in Lodi, California and they have been married for 60 years.
Daniel worked for Pacific Telephone for 37 years managing switching offices from Los Angeles to the Oregon border. He loved flying and was chairman of the airport committee for many years. He enjoyed attending the Oshkosh World Renowned Air show and Reno Air Races and attended many times.
He is survived by his wife Verna, of Preston; his son Shane (Janice) Daniels, of Preston; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; and a sister Mary Lou (Frank) Chance, of Stockton, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gravesides services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Logan City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com.
