PRESTON, IDAHO CRAIG GARRETT

PRESTON- Craig Conrad Garrett, 60, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012,in Preston as a result of heart attack. He was born June 21, 1951, in Preston, Idaho, the son of Conrad Hugie and Marcene Robinson Garrett.

As a young boy he enjoyed working on his Grandpa Robinson's mink ranch. He played basketball and baseball in high school and American Legion baseball in the summers. He graduated from Preston High School and attended Idaho State University. He joined the National Guard serving for several years.

He married Jan Mortensen on June 1, 1996, in the Logan LDS Temple . The marriage joined two families together with love.

He worked at Utah Power and Light and Rocky Mountain Power for 25 years in several different positions. He worked in Preston, Castle Dale, Utah and Ogden, Utah. He helped with the Teton Dam flood. He loved his dogs and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He loved his family very much and especially enjoyed tending his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Garrett of Preston; two sons and one daughter, Justin (Tiffanie) Garrett of Layton, Utah; Christopher Garrett of Weston, Idaho; Shannon Garrett of Preston; his mother, Marcene (Ted) Steers of Preston; two step-sons, Eric (Jessica) Auger of Preston; Ryan Auger of Preston; a step-daughter, Tami (Jeramie) Bill of Richmond, Utah; three step-grandchildren, Shayla, Azlynn and Ridge Auger of Preston; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Beverly Mortensen of Preston; and by a brother-in-law, Phil Mortensen of Chubbuck, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father, and by his grandparents, Bill and Leona Garrett and Wilburn and Mabel Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012, at noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
