Preston, Idaho - - - Cornelius "Neil" Butler Jr
Preston - Cornelius "Neil" Butler Jr., 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Preston, Idaho on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. He was born on August 14, 1935 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Cornelius and Margaret Hodgin Butler.
Neil loved to restore antique cars and trucks as well as building model cars and trucks. He always worked hard and loved to fly his airplane. He enjoyed motorcycle rides. He always fought for good honest government and was a believer in the American Dream. He never missed a single day of work and was always honest in his dealings in his business and with his friends. Neil always had his bible and he never stopped learning from it every day.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Butler, of Orofino, ID; his sons Mike Butler, of Orofino, ID; Don Butler, of Randleman, North Carolina; and Russ (Sharon) Butler, of Pleasant Garden, North Carolina; step children Dave Boyle, of Logan, UT; Lorie (Bracken) Cole, of Preston, ID; John (Paige) Boyle, of Sterrett, Alabama; and Crystal (Tim) Rawlings, of Malad, ID; 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters Joanne (Earl) Watts, of Winston-Salem, NC; and Caroline (Milton) Hostetler, of Altamonta, FL; a half brother Aaron (Brenda) Butler, of McLeansville, NC; and half sisters Janie (David) Bevers, of North Carolina, and Janet Doss, of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Annabel Butler, his first wife Phyllis Butler, and a grandson Donald (little Neil) Butler.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in North Carolina under the direction of Cumby Family Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Juilford Memorial Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
