Las Vegas - Charlene Mitchell Lewis passed away at the age of 71 on June 18, 2013 in Las Vegas Nevada to be greeted by her parents and two sisters. She was born June 19, 1941 in Pocatello Idaho to Aphrodel W. Mitchell and Charles R Mitchell. She married Victor Lewis on July 19, 1974 in Las Vegas Nevada and was later sealed in the St. George Temple on July 7, 1984. She graduated from Preston High School and LDS Business College.
Charlene was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various positions. She enjoyed helping her husband do extractions and serving in the bishops storehouse mission. She loved keeping in contact with friends and family on her computer. Anyone who was fortunate enough to be on her list enjoyed her many e-mails. She also loved doing crossword puzzles. She was an avid collector of Oreo cookies and pens, wether they were given to her or "borrowed".
She is survived by her husband Victor, sisters; Aphrodel M. Rollins and Melanie M. Wold, 5 nieces and 3 nephews, many great nieces and nephews, 2 great great nieces and many wonderful friends.
Thank you to all her ward members and the hospice nurses who helped care for her.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 8th East, Preston, Idaho. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
