"With Brave Wings She Flies"
Chandler Jadyn Inglet returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Aug. 29, 2018 at 7:35 a.m. surrounded by her family and friends at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah due to leukemia. She was born Dec. 29, 1999 at 11:15 p.m. in Logan, Utah. Our family was blessed to have Chandler for 18 years and 8 months.
She graduated from Preston High School in May of 2018. She had a great love of music- Nirvana was her favorite. She also had a special gift of writing and loved to write poetry. Chan loved movies and could memorize them quickly. She loved to spend time with her friends. She also loved the family annual fish fry. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 14 years old.
Chan is survived by her parents, Douglas & Jamie Inglet of Preston; and Ashley Kaufman of Salt Lake City; by her sisters, Camryn & Lexi of Preston; by her brothers, Douglas Gaige of Preston and Cooper Timothy of Salt Lake City; and by a special, dedicated best friend, Morgan Wilcox.
Chan was the first grandchild for both sides of the family which means she was destined to be loved beyond measure. She is survived by her grandparents, Bart & Debbie Inglet, Marsha Kaufman & Jody Crockett, Ron & Betty Kaufman, Bill & Kelly Adamson; and her great-grandmas, Elaine Mayhew and Kathryn Whitehead. She is loved by many uncles and aunts, Mike (Robyn) Inglet, Sheridee (Jesse) Earl, Kenny (Michelle) Inglet, Clay & Naila Kaufman, Rhett Kaufman, Teri (Lex) Hightower, Blake (Nia) Whitehead, Lindsee (Cameron) Hoffman, Cody Doud, Tyson (Tanisha) Adamson, Jessica (Dan) Gregory, and numerous cousins and friends. Chandler’s family will hold her in our hearts until it is time to hold her in our arms in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Ray Whitehead; her great-grandparents, William (Bill) & Elaine Rumsey, Barnard (Sam) & Beota Inglet, Norman & LaRee Ricks, and Earl & Betty Kaufman.
Chandler and her family would like to thank the LDS Hospital Leukemia Team, the doctors, nurses, aides and the rest of the care team for everything they did for Chandler. She won the hearts of her care givers and counted them as friends (except ICU). Right to the end of this fight Chandler kept her sense of humor and definitely her sassy spunk. We thank all of her family and friends for the wonderful support they gave to Chandler in this difficult time. She felt your love and it gave her great comfort. “Our journey was not always perfect….but the journey was ours”
