Carolyn Eames Floyd

Carolyn Eames Floyd, 68, passed away March 31, 2022 in Preston, Idaho.  She was born October 12, 1953, in Preston, Idaho.  She was the fourth of seven children born to George and Vilate Eames.  About a month before her fourth birthday, her family moved to her Grandpa Eames’ farm north of Preston where she grew up. 

She attended school in Preston and graduated from Preston High School in 1971.  She took Home Economics and enjoyed learning to cook and sew.  After high school, she attended Stevens-Henager Business College in Salt Lake City.  While attending a dance at Dugway Proving Grounds, Carolyn met Clemmus R. Floyd.  They were married and to that union was born the cutest little red-headed girl, Michelle Lee.  They later divorced.

Carolyn worked for an insurance company for a couple of years before she got on at Pepperidge Farm.  She worked there for forty-six years.  She loved to go bowling.  She was on a bowling league and bowled for many years.  Both Carolyn and her daughter, Michelle, enjoyed going to bowling tournaments together.  Carolyn received many awards and trophies for her bowling throughout the years. 

One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her family.  She loved visiting with her daughter, Michelle and her son-in-law, Curtis; her grandchildren, Jessica and Brendan; and her two great-grandchildren, Levi Jaxson and Paislee RayLynn.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, by four brothers, one sister, two nephews and one great-nephew.  She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Curtis) Reynolds of Burley, Idaho; by her grandchildren, Jessica and Brendan, by her great-grandchildren, Levi Jaxson and Paislee RayLynn; and by a sister, Linda (Paul) Critchlow of Georgetown, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho.  The services will be streamed live and may be watched Monday at 11 am (MST) by clicking on the following link:

Viewings will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m. and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. both at Webb Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
